After retiring for two years, Li Wenhua, former director of the Economic Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region’s Political Consultative Conference, announced that he is under investigation. Li Wenhua previously served as the director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Ningxia.
On November 29th, the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Communist Party of China in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region announced that Li Wenhua, former member of the Autonomous Region’s Political Consultative Conference, former secretary of the Economic Committee, and former director, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Public records show that Li Wenhua was born in Wuzhong City, Ningxia in 1959 and started working in August 1976. He holds a graduate degree from the Central Party School and is a senior editor.
In the early years, Li Wenhua held various positions such as Deputy Director of Secretariat Department II, Director of Secretariat Department III of the Communist Party of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Deputy Director of the Party’s Policy Research Office, Secretary of the Xi Xia District Committee of Yinchuan City, Secretary of the Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone Party Working Committee, and Director of the Ningxia Radio and Television General Station.
In later years, Li Wenhua served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Ningxia Autonomous Region Government and concurrently Director of the Financial Office, Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Director of the Economic Committee of the Political Consultative Conference.
On September 14, 2022, Li Wenhua was relieved of his position as director of the Political Consultative Conference’s Economic Committee. At the same time, due to reaching the age limit for serving, Li Wenhua resigned from the position of standing member of the 11th session of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Political Consultative Conference.
