On the evening of October 7th, a woman posted a real-name accusation on social media, reporting that the Discipline Inspection Secretary of Bazhong Middle School in Sichuan Province had sexually assaulted and raped her. She claimed that she had made a formal report to the Bazhong municipal Discipline Inspection Commission and other relevant departments but received no response, and was even threatened by the accused. After this incident attracted attention, the police finally issued a public safety alert, stating that a case had been filed.
According to the woman’s accusation, on the morning of July 23rd of this year, the Discipline Inspection Secretary of Bazhong Middle School, Mr. Luo, lured her into a guesthouse room under the guise of hiking and having tea, where he sexually assaulted and raped her, causing significant physical and psychological harm.
Afterward, she reported the incident with her real name to the Discipline Inspection Commission of Bazhong, Sichuan Province, and other relevant authorities, but Mr. Luo remains at large. During this time, Mr. Luo also sent threatening messages to her, even attempting to track her location through her only close relative, her 70-year-old grandmother.
She accused, “They are incredibly powerful, I am an orphan without parents. If anything unfortunate happens to me, it must be their doing. I ask all the netizens to help a vulnerable woman seek justice!”
Alongside her real-name accusation, the woman also attached a video of her report.
On October 8th, reporters from Dawan News contacted Bazhong Middle School. The staff stated that they were unaware of the specific situation as the leadership was currently not at the school, and Mr. Luo was also not in the office. They promised to inform the leadership about the matter. Subsequently, reporters contacted the Discipline Inspection Commission of Bazhong City. The staff confirmed that they had received a relevant report and were conducting further investigations to verify the details.
At 2:10 PM on October 8th, reporters from Red Star News reached out to the Bazhou District Branch of Bazhong City Public Security Bureau regarding the incident. The police stated that they would issue a public safety alert.
At 3:05 PM that same day, the police released a report stating that on September 9th, a resident of Bazhou District, Ms. Wang (19 years old), reported to the police that on July 23rd, she had been a victim of an attempted rape by Mr. Luo (48 years old, resident of Bazhou District). The Bazhong City Public Security Bureau Bazhou District Branch conducted on-site inspections, inquiries, medical examinations, and officially launched an investigation on September 11th.
