Taiwanese-American Chamber of Commerce in the Bay Area to Host “Autumn Celebration” Carnival

The Taiwan Youth Business Association of the San Francisco Bay Area will be hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival “Autumn Madness” carnival on September 15th (Sunday) at the South Bay Overseas Chinese Education Center, presenting a feast of Taiwanese cuisine and culture for the residents of the Bay Area. People from all walks of life in the Bay Area are warmly invited to participate.

The “Autumn Madness” carnival will be free to enter, with several popular Bay Area vendors offering classic Taiwanese night market snacks such as sausages, teppanyaki noodles, bubble milk tea, and more, allowing participants to relive familiar culinary memories and indulge in Taiwanese flavors. Participating vendors include Shilin Fried Chicken, Mr. Green Bubble, Chun Yang Tea Room, 7noodles & Swizzling, Silicon Valley Bike Coffee, Ain’t Common Bento Shop, Duan Chunzhen Beef Noodle, Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake, Ami Kitchen, Sai’s Vietnamese Restaurant, and others.

In addition to food, the “Silicon Valley Matchmaker” will also have a booth on-site, providing face-to-face networking opportunities for those interested in meeting new friends. Furthermore, the event will feature a variety of performances, including taiko drumming, acrobatics, traditional Chinese music, and folk singing, providing everyone with an exciting audiovisual experience.

President Tan Zhi-ren of the Youth Business Association stated that due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the association has not been able to host events for a year or two. Taking advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival carnival, they hope to attract more young Taiwanese Americans to participate, engage in dialogue, enhance personal brands, and increase the influence of Taiwanese people in society. This event is just the beginning, with plans for more activities in the future to provide more opportunities for collaboration among young Taiwanese Americans.

President Zhou Wei-yu of the Taiwan Commerce Association in the San Francisco Bay Area has high hopes for the development of the Youth Business Association. He expressed that during his tenure, one of his missions is to “inherit the past and usher in the future,” aiming to pass down the association’s fine traditions while actively nurturing young entrepreneurs to become the backbone of the association’s future and have a positive impact on society.

Several prize draws will take place during the carnival, with the grand prize including round-trip tickets between San Francisco and Taiwan, as well as other rewards such as a mini iPad and a subscription service to Silicon Valley Aya fashion. Friends who wish to participate in the raffle activities will need to purchase tickets, with each ticket priced at only $10.

The Taiwan Youth Business Association in the San Francisco Bay Area is dedicated to promoting the interaction and growth of young people, professionals, and entrepreneurs in the Bay Area. Through social activities, professional development opportunities, and charitable events, the association aims to unite the Taiwanese community and make positive contributions to the local community.
