On July 21st, at the “China Freedom and US-Taiwan Security Forum” held at the US Capitol Visitor Center, Wang Zhiyuan, the President of the Global Quit CCP Service Center, delivered a speech at the “Quit CCP Movement Recognition Ceremony.” Here is the full text of his speech:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, I would like to talk about a seemingly simple but crucial question that concerns the destiny of hundreds of millions of people – Who are we?
For over seventy years, the Chinese Communist Party has never allowed the Chinese people to have a choice.
From a young age, you are placed under the control of the CCP. From joining the Young Pioneers, to the Communist Youth League, and then the Communist Party, it labels you step by step; at the same time, it uses all the national machinery and propaganda means to continuously shape itself as the sole representative of China, making “China” and “CCP” synonymous in the eyes of the world.
But today, I want to solemnly tell you all here, and tell the world:
China does not equal the Chinese Communist Party; the Chinese people should not be represented by the Chinese Communist Party.
This is not just a slogan, but a declaration written by over four hundred million Chinese people using their real names or aliases: The CCP does not equal China, the CCP has no authority to represent the Chinese people.
As of today, over 464 million people have publicly declared their withdrawal from the CCP, Youth League, and Young Pioneers organizations on the Quit CCP website. In the first half of this year alone, 6.95 million people have made this choice, with an average of over 38,000 people per day.
Friends, this is a spiritual awakening movement that has never been seen in human history – it is not a violent revolution, but rather a spiritual and moral awakening where ordinary people, from the depths of their hearts, proclaim “I do not want to be replaced by the CCP.”
This awakening movement has long crossed the Pacific. In June of this year, the U.S. Congress passed Resolution 444, stating that the Chinese Communist Party is a criminal organization that poses a serious threat to global stability and peace, and pointing out that the party has engaged in systemic deception, belligerent behaviors, and crimes against humanity, a scale rarely seen in history.
Federal judicial agencies have exposed one fact after another: the CCP uses the laws of the free world, open societies, and inclusive opinions to launch legal wars, battles of opinions, and cognitive battles, turning America’s system of freedom into a weapon against American freedom.
However, when the world cannot clearly distinguish between the Chinese people and the CCP, in this pervasive infiltration by the CCP, those most affected are many law-abiding overseas Chinese living in the free world. Due to the actions of the CCP, they face misunderstandings and suspicions – this is the outcome that the CCP is most pleased with – making it difficult for the world to distinguish between “China” and the CCP and forcibly binding overseas Chinese with the CCP.
Helping the world to recognize this is not only the responsibility of the Chinese people but also an important step in helping the free world maintain fairness and justice.
So today, I want to say to my fellow Chinese compatriots: Taking the initiative to cut ties with the CCP is the best protection for ourselves and the next generation, no longer being mistakenly viewed as an extension of the CCP.
Quitting the CCP, withdrawing from the CCP’s party, league, and team organizations, and obtaining a certificate of withdrawal, is a declaration to the world, to history, and to oneself: I am a proud Chinese person, I am not a part of the CCP.
Over 464 million people have stood up and withdrawn from the CCP.
Today, I urge every hesitant and observant compatriot: Your identity is the dignity given to you by nature, not the political property of the CCP. Take it back, reject being kidnapped by it, it only needs one choice from you.
Thank you.
