The joint enlistment training of the three armed forces and nine military academies of the National Army of the Republic of China (Taiwan) continues to progress, incorporating unmanned drone operation into the curriculum to prepare for asymmetric warfare, enriching the training content with more diversity.
Enlistees participated in rifle marksmanship and unmanned drone operation training at the Army Officer School on the 21st. Through progressive live-fire training, they honed their shooting skills, developed correct shooting concepts, and established safety operating procedures to lay the foundation for future military training.
During the training, enlistees followed the instructions of their instructors, completed safety checks before shooting, practiced shooting, and adhered to the safety regulations of the shooting range before conducting basic marksmanship shooting with the 175m 65K2 rifle. Following the instructions of the education platoon leader, the enlistees loaded the magazine and upon the command “Commence shooting!” pulled the trigger, filling the shooting range with the sound of gunfire, providing them with a vivid experience of live-fire shooting.
The Army Officer School emphasized that rifle marksmanship is one of the crucial courses in enlistment training. Through solid training in basic combat skills, enlistees become familiar with weapon performance and shooting techniques, establishing the correct combat skills and discipline concepts to lay the groundwork for future individual combat skills.
Furthermore, in response to asymmetric warfare, unmanned drone operation has been integrated into the enlistment training curriculum. Under the guidance of professional instructors, enlistees work in groups to operate unmanned drones, making the training content more diverse and enriching.
