The news of the five steps: Iron triangle collapse? China’s true strength exposed by North Korea and Russia

Hello everyone, welcome to “Group of Five News”. Today’s co-hosts are Tang Hao, Qin Peng, Lin Lan, Fu Yao, and myself, Qin Yue. With our diverse perspectives colliding, we aim to lead you into the rich world of news. Feel free to subscribe and like our independent channel.

Today’s focus: Russia exposes the CCP’s “technological backwardness”, the Jin father and son reveal that the CCP is all “fraudsters”; 28 years later, the first alliance between North Korea and Russia embarrasses the CCP! The US mobilization order sounds the alarm, warning of what? Is the “Little China-Russia-North Korea Pact” more dangerous than the Soviet Union? The CCP’s plan scares the Secretary of the Czech Republic!

In a street interview in mainland China, when asked: Which countries do you think the world can achieve peace without? People all answered “the United States”, citing reasons such as the US liking to stir up trouble and provoke wars.

Questions:

Fu Yao, what makes everyone’s answer the United States?

Qin Peng, why is the answer not those international terrorist organizations?

Indeed, I am also puzzled. Shouldn’t it be terrorist organizations? Without the CCP, there would be peace in the Indo-Pacific; without Iran’s Islamic organizations, there would be peace in the Middle East. Looking at the world, the Chinese Communist Party is the source of chaos, both domestically and internationally. Why do so many people blurt out “the world would have peace if the US disappeared”? It’s the CCP’s indoctrination.

But in reality, the CCP knows this very well. That’s why Mao Zedong said in the “Ode to Democracy” that for over 100 years, since the US was young, the Chinese have always felt that the US is a particularly friendly country. “This is not only because they have never occupied Chinese land or launched aggressive wars against China, but more fundamentally, the Chinese people’s favor towards the US stems from the democracy and compassion emanating from the American people.” However, the CCP is dictatorial and oppressive, fearing democracy and truth, so they need to create an enemy.

Tang Hao, forecast

After 24 years, Putin, amid the stalemate of the Russia-Ukraine war, went to Pyongyang to meet Kim Jong-un. Lin Lan will provide more details shortly.

More than 80 countries worldwide signed a peace declaration in Switzerland last week to promote peace in Ukraine. This week, Russian President Putin made his first visit to North Korea in 24 years.

In North Korea, Putin’s picture hangs on the main road as he and Kim Jong-un had a one-on-one meeting, signing the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement.” In fact, the Soviet Union and North Korea signed the “Sino-North Korean Alliance Treaty” in 1961, but it was abolished in 1996 after the Soviet Union disintegrated. This time, after 28 years, North Korea and Russia are first restoring their “alliance relationship.”

How does the CCP feel about the closeness between North Korea and Russia? Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian responded on Tuesday, saying they have no comment on this.

Q1, Tang Hao, the triangle relationship between China, Russia, and North Korea has always been delicately balanced, but North Korea and Russia have been getting closer in the past few years. Does this mean they are gradually moving away from the CCP? (What are the signs? Why is this happening?)

Q2, Fu Yao, it’s obvious that North Korea and Russia coming together is mutually beneficial, so what are they each seeking?

Q3, this time North Korea and Russia also signed the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty”; Putin said the main content of the treaty is that when one is under aggression, the other will provide support. However, China and North Korea already signed the “China-North Korea Cooperative Mutual Assistance Treaty” in 1961, which also has similar provisions. Qin Peng, we know that during the Cold War, the Warsaw Pact led by the Soviet Union confronted the NATO led by the US; is the China-Russia-North Korea pact trying to create a new version of the Warsaw Pact?

Q4, NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg said on June 17 that the CCP is trying to share military technology with Russia while also wanting to maintain normal relations with NATO member countries, which is unfeasible. Because the war in Ukraine by Russia is the largest war in continental Europe since World War II. If the CCP does not change its behavior, NATO should consider making them pay some economic price.

Qin Yue, do you think the economic sanctions related to the US and Europe can ultimately stop the CCP from supporting Russia? How will this affect the relationship between the CCP and the US and Europe?

Answer: Impossible, absolutely impossible. First, let me criticize NATO. NATO initially set the 2% of GDP for military expenditure for NATO member countries. In the past few decades, few countries have met this goal, with only the Baltic countries, the US, Poland, the UK, and Greece reaching it on the front lines. In 2021, with about 30 member countries, only 6 countries met this target. Recently, NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg said that this year, 23 NATO member countries will meet the 2% of GDP for military spending.

Though Stoltenberg stated that the CCP cannot share military technology with Russia while maintaining normal relations with NATO member countries simultaneously, based on past NATO executions, its deterrent power against the CCP is limited.

Regarding how this will affect the relationship between the CCP and the US and Europe? Certainly, stopping the CCP from supporting Russia does not mean that the international community’s view of the CCP will improve. I think the CCP’s behavior is nearing Schrödinger’s cat state – when you look at it, it doesn’t exist; when you don’t look, it exists. However, walking on both sides of the fence will inevitably lead to trouble and offend both sides.

In fact, the awakening of the US and Europe to the CCP has already begun in recent years, making European countries realize they are not on the same path as the CCP. The shift from growing apart to eventually confrontation is only a matter of time.

In the past, the CCP always portrayed relations with Russia and North Korea as being “back-to-back.” However, if they compared the CCP’s prickly diplomatic policies to that of a hedgehog, what would be the result of hedgehogs back-to-back?
