CenterLight Healthcare PACE announced on April 18th at the “Healthcare Day Center in Flushing” that they will be hosting the third annual “CenterLight Healthcare PACE Health Day” on April 27th (Saturday) at The Salvation Army Center in Brooklyn, welcoming the participation of the general public.
President and CEO of CenterLight Healthcare, Tara Buonocore-Rut, expressed the hope that through this Health Day, the community can access health information and related resources to help individuals lead healthy lives and make informed healthcare choices. She emphasized that CenterLight Healthcare’s mission is to provide personalized medical care services, assisting adults aged 55 and above who require support to live safely and independently at home, with the aim of expanding their services along with the community.
The PACE program is a comprehensive one-stop medical care plan. Eligibility criteria include individuals aged 55 or above with New York State Medicaid or federal Medicare, who need over 120 days of community-based long-term care services at home or at a PACE center. Service areas covered include: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Westchester County, Nassau County, and the western part of Suffolk County.
Health Day activities will include: (1) “High Blood Pressure Health Seminar” by senior registered nurses from CenterLight Healthcare PACE; (2) Nutritionists and rehabilitation therapists will be available to answer questions and provide consultations; (3) booths set up by the Asian American Medical Association, American Chinese Registered Nurses Association, Universal Nursing Company, Renren Nursing Company, Jia Sheng Nursing Company, Kangyi Nursing Company, True Love Nursing Company, New Kang Nursing Company, and Gratitude Nursing Company to offer health and home care related information. There will also be dance performances, refreshments, and prize games during the event.
Amy Mung, Vice President of the Asian Department of CenterLight Healthcare PACE, expressed gratitude to various organizations for promoting the CenterLight Healthcare PACE Health Day, encouraging the community to actively participate. The entire staff of the Business Development Department of CenterLight Healthcare PACE presented flowers to Tara Buonocore-Rut, congratulating her on receiving the Power Women of Manhattan award from Schneps Media.
