Photo Gallery: Large-Scale Anti-Immigrant Protests Erupt in the UK

On Saturday, September 13th, a large-scale march called “Unite the Kingdom” took place in London, UK. The event aimed to defend freedom of speech and protest against the immigration policies of the left-wing government. Participants paid tribute to the American conservative activist, Charlie Kirk, who was killed on Wednesday, September 10th. Many people held up large photos, frames, or slogans in support of Kirk.

According to various media reports, the march was initiated by conservative activists in the UK, and former leader of the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson. He defined the purpose of the march as “defending freedom of speech” and emphasized that it was also a fight to protect British traditions and culture.

During the event, a touching video dedicated to Kirk was played, as a sign of mourning. Robinson addressed the cheering crowd, stating, “He inspired an entire generation of young people with courage and conviction.” The crowd echoed Kirk’s name in unison. Robinson had earlier posted on social media this week, “In memory of Charlie Kirk, for the defense of freedom, we marched on the 13th.”

Aerial footage showed protesters waving the Union Jack and the red-and-white flag of England’s St. George, forming a river of people shouting “We want our country back” through the streets of central London. Among the banners they held were phrases like “Send them back”; some also carried American and Israeli flags, and wore “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hats endorsed by US President Trump.

Police estimated around 110,000 people attended the march, but organizers claimed the number reached “millions.”

Notably, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, made a virtual appearance at the London march, condemning left-wing parties. He stated, “Look at the violence of the left, our friend Charlie Kirk was cold-bloodedly murdered this week, and leftists openly celebrated! The left is the party of murder.”

The London march occurred amidst intense debate in the UK political circles over immigration issues, as a large number of illegal immigrants crossed the English Channel on overcrowded vessels without permission to enter the UK.
