Another Woman in Henan declared ‘Mentally ill’ under the CCP’s authoritarian rule

For years, local authorities in various regions of China have been using the tactic of “diagnosing with mental illness” to suppress dissenters, which has become a common practice. Recently, a woman screaming for help on a street in Henan was forcefully taken away by medical personnel while wearing handcuffs, sparking public outrage.

A viral video circulating online shows that on May 16th, in a street in Yuzhou, Henan, a woman was handcuffed from behind, resisting vigorously, and shouting for help.

On May 16th, a netizen posted a video claiming that a woman was forcefully taken away by medical staff from Yuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital’s 120 emergency ambulance while handcuffed on a street. The woman shouted for help, leading to speculation by netizens that she might have been “diagnosed with a mental illness,” garnering attention.

The handcuffed woman shouted, “My name is Li Jianqing (phonetic), I am perfectly normal, clear-headed, and healthy. Hospitals don’t use handcuffs, please help me, I beg you!”

A staff member from the 120 emergency center of Yuzhou Central Hospital explained that she is a psychiatric patient, picked up by her family, and claimed she has mania, restrained with psychiatric restraining straps, not handcuffs. Subsequently, Li Jianqing was forcefully lifted onto a stretcher and taken away.

A TikTok account @BigHeadXiaoGang once stated in a video, “What is a psychiatric restraining strap? A genuine psychiatric restraining strap is usually made of cloth or soft leather material, primarily aimed at preventing the individual from harming others or self-injury. The emphasis is on comfort, so as not to harm the patient and trigger a stronger stress reaction. This is the most basic understanding for professional psychiatric workers.”

He also remarked, “If someone handcuffs me on the street, I would go crazy too. According to national law, psychiatric doctors and staff are ordinary citizens and do not have the right to use law enforcement equipment.”

Due to the negative impact caused by the forced removal and treatment by medical staff, on May 17th, Yuzhou Health Commission ordered the hospital involved to suspend Dr. Xie from duty and dismiss staff member Gao.

Chinese human rights lawyer Wu Shaoping, living in the United States, told Epoch Times, “It is the darkest society in the history of Communist China to be able to kidnap a normal person in broad daylight and take them away by force while handcuffed.” He added, “If she didn’t call for help at that time, her fate would have been very tragic. One possibility is being diagnosed with a mental illness, and it is also possible to have her organs harvested, then dying inexplicably that way.”

Wu Shaoping stated, “Through this case, it can be seen that present-day China ruled by the Communist Party has turned into a hell on earth. They have made violations against ordinary people and illegal activities seem like nothing, something unprecedented in history.” He continued, “The Communist Party is using extremely cruel methods to rule the society in Communist China, making the people of this country adapt through successive persecutions, making people feel the pressure and fear created by this regime unprecedented.”

In recent years, the Communist Party has been using psychiatric hospitals to persecute dissenting voices, “diagnosing with mental illness” is the sin of the Communist Party, which has now spread to ordinary citizens. For example, on April 8th, Zhang Po from Huainan was taken to a psychiatric hospital for demanding disability allowances from his company. In early March, a woman named Hu from Anhui reported her married boyfriend to the police and was abducted from Beijing by the police and placed in a psychiatric hospital in Anhui. Last year, a woman named Li Yixue from Jiangxi was placed in a psychiatric hospital for her rights defending.
