Dalian Metro Line 3 Caught Fire, Dalian Station Suspended, Thick Black Smoke

On December 14th, a fire broke out near the ticket service center of Dalian Station on Line 3 of the Dalian Metro in Liaoning, causing thick black smoke and intense flames at the scene, leading to trains needing to turn back.

The incident occurred around 7:40 a.m. on the southern side of the ticket service center. Video footage from the scene showed billowing black smoke rising into the sky.

According to an emergency press release from the Dalian Municipal Emergency Office on the same day, a fire broke out near the southern service center of Dalian Station on Line 3 of the metro around 7:40 a.m. Thick smoke billowed at the scene, and the flames were intense. The fire was brought under control by 8:03 a.m. and there were no casualties reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown. Relevant departments have cordoned off the area.

Due to the impact of the fire, the operations of Dalian Station on Line 3 of the metro were temporarily suspended, and trains were turned back at Xianglu Jiao Station.
