Paraglider Flies Over Egyptian Pyramids, Discovers Small Dog at the Top

Recently, a man flew over the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt while piloting a powered paraglider. As he was admiring the breathtaking view, he was surprised to spot a small dog perched at the top of the pyramid, completely unexpected.

The man, named Alex Lang, was engaged in powered paragliding activities in Giza, Egypt. Flying over the Great Pyramid of Giza, he noticed a small dog at the top.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, is the oldest and largest of the three famous pyramids in the Giza area. It is also the only remaining structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Lang told Storyful that on October 14th, while flying his powered paraglider, he saw a small dog climbing all the way to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza, barking at the birds along the way.

Video footage captured by Lang shows a white dog indeed present at the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

In a statement provided to the website, Lang expressed his surprise at seeing the dog. He initially noticed some movement and upon closer observation, realized it was a small dog barking and chasing birds at the top of the pyramid.

Another fellow powered paraglider, Marshall Mosher, edited the footage shot by Lang and shared it on the Instagram platform, garnering nearly a million views so far.

In his post, Mosher wrote, “A dog climbed all the way to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza! Do you think he lives up there?”

The following day, Mosher shared another video, expressing his intention to fly back to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza to check if the dog was still there, perhaps to help bring it back down, but ultimately, he didn’t find the dog. He was puzzled about how the dog had managed to climb up there.

In his post, he mentioned that the previous day’s video had gone viral. Some jokingly suggested that the dog seen at the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza might be the incarnation of the Egyptian mythological god Anubis, often depicted with the head of a jackal.

A few days later, he shared a video showing the dog running down from the pyramid. In the post, he wrote, “Who says only humans can chase history?”

Some internet users suggested outfitting the dog’s collar with a camera to capture what the dog sees while going up and down the pyramid.
