Recently in the Welsh Powys mountains, a mysterious giant stone suddenly emerged, sparking speculation that it may be of extraterrestrial origin due to the lack of a clear explanation.
According to reports from the PA news agency, local builder Craig Muir stumbled upon this approximately 10-foot (about 3 meters) tall giant stone near the River Wye in Hay-on-Wye over the weekend.
The sparkling giant stone appeared to have emerged from the ground like it was planted there, with no unusual markings on the surrounding ground.
Muir, who shared a video of his discovery, remarked, “I come here most of the time, but I’ve never seen anything like this before. It looks almost like a UFO.”
“It appears to be made of a very fine metal, almost like surgical-grade steel,” he described the giant stone, “Despite the windy weather, it looks very smooth and sturdy.”
Since it’s not accessible by car to reach the mountaintop, Muir speculated that it might have been brought there by a group of people or dropped from a helicopter. However, under normal circumstances, such a large-scale “engineering” feat would leave some traces in the surroundings.
“It doesn’t look like it was just thrown there but rather precisely placed underground,” he said, “However, there are no obvious traces around it.”
This is not the first time people have come across “mysterious giant stones.”
In 2020, several giant stones appeared in California. In the same year in November, an unexplained metallic giant stone was found on a remote helicopter in the desert of Utah, USA. The giant stone disappeared a few days later.
Shortly after its disappearance, another giant stone appeared on the Isle of Wight in the UK.
Similar structures have been seen in Cornwall, Europe, and even one on top of Glastonbury Tor, with the inscription “Not Banksy” on its side.
On New Year’s Eve, January 8, 2021, a steel monolith mysteriously appeared in Sala Monferrato vineyard in the Piedmont Region, Province of Alessandria, Italy, similar to the occurrences in the United States.
