Recently, the topic of a mainland female internet celebrity accusing a 4-year-old boy of touching her buttocks has continued to attract attention. Following the exposure of surveillance video footage, the accounts of this internet celebrity on multiple platforms were promptly banned.
According to reports from media outlets such as Jiupai News, a woman from Fujian reflected that on August 26, she was touched on the buttocks by a 4-year-old boy in a restaurant in Changsha.
Subsequently, surveillance footage reconstructed the incident. The video showed that due to the narrow aisle, the boy lost balance while running and his hand unintentionally touched the woman’s buttocks. The woman then grabbed the boy’s shirt collar, shouting to the surrounding crowd, “Who are the parents of this child?” The confrontation lasted for 1 minute and 50 seconds, with the boy crying loudly out of fear.
Upon the arrival of the boy’s parents, the woman demanded an apology for being touched on the buttocks by the boy. The boy’s parents mentioned that he is only 4 years old and does not understand, and repeatedly asked the woman to release the child. It was mentioned that due to the woman’s prolonged pulling of the boy’s collar, the boy suffered a neck injury.
As the two parties could not resolve the dispute, the woman reported the incident to the police, with the police station intervening three times for mediation. During this period, the boy’s parents apologized to the woman and compensated for medical expenses, but the woman still insisted on a written or video apology. The parents agreed to apologize on the condition that the woman also apologize for grabbing the child’s collar. However, the woman argued that the boy’s neck injury was caused by his own struggling and refused to apologize.
Reportedly, a resolution between the two parties has not been reached yet, as the woman stated that she will proceed with legal action.
After the incident came to light, the actions of the Changsha police have been questioned online. Many netizens expressed skepticism, with comments such as, “This is too surreal! How can such a minor issue require three mediations? How idle are you, Changsha police? Some netizens also questioned whether the woman involved was excessively seeking attention and trying to gain traffic. As the situation escalates, the Douyin account of the woman involved has now been restricted from being followed, and her Weibo account has also been banned from followers due to a violation of the community guidelines.
