For over a year, the general manager and disciplinary inspection director of the Ordnance Group have been reassigned, leaving their positions vacant; the chairman of the Ordnance Group, Xu Xianping, has been unusually elusive. Many signs indicate that after the division of the automotive business, the Ordnance Group has been restructured and taken over by the China Ordnance Industry Group (Ordnance Industry Group).
On September 8, 2026, the official website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission reported that the former Party Secretary and Chairman of Huazhong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Liu Yuting, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review by the disciplinary inspection and supervision team of the China Ordnance Industry Group and the Supervision Commission of Shiyan City, Hubei Province.
Public records show that Liu Yuting held various positions at Huazhong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Wuhan Binhu Electronics Co., Ltd., Hubei Huazhong Yangtze Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and Baoding Tianwei Power Transformer Co., Ltd. All these companies are subsidiaries or controlling companies of the Ordnance Group.
As a senior executive who has long served in the Ordnance Group, Liu Yuting is now under investigation by the disciplinary inspection team of the Ordnance Industry Group, which is rare.
The China Ordnance Industry Group (Ordnance Industry Group) and the China Ordnance Equipment Group (Ordnance Group) are both large state-owned military industrial enterprises, with the former being the split of the former China Ordnance Industry General Company.
In January 1990, the Chinese authorities established the China Ordnance Industry General Company based on the China North Industries (Group) Corporation. In July 1999, the five major defense industry companies were reorganized into ten defense industry group companies; the China Ordnance Industry General Company was split into two, forming the China Ordnance Equipment Group Co., Ltd. (Ordnance Equipment Group) and the China Ordnance Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Ordnance Industry Group).
In March 2025, the Ordnance Group website was updated to show that Hua Feng took over as the head of the disciplinary inspection and supervision team and member of the Party Committee of the Ordnance Group, replacing Yu Canzhu.
According to public records, Hua Feng was born in May 1973; he previously held positions such as head of the Disciplinary Inspection and Supervision Department of the Party Committee and the Supervision Department of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
