Beverly described Usha as “very humble,” saying, “I think she is one of the kindest, most excellent, and most sincere people I have ever met… I love her like my own daughter.”
She described Usha as a dedicated wife and mother, deeply in love with her husband and children, emphasizing, “I can’t find any faults in her.”
Despite their vastly different backgrounds—Usha is a descendant of Indian immigrants with a law degree from Yale University who served as a clerk for a Supreme Court justice, while Beverly comes from a working-class background—Beverly admitted that she really enjoys Indian cuisine, joking, “Even though I don’t think I could make it myself, it’s really delicious.”
The strong relationship between this mother-in-law and daughter-in-law has been long-standing. Usha has previously stated in interviews that the Vance family has always been very caring towards her, especially her mother-in-law Beverly, who has been by her side during significant moments and stages of growth in the Vance family.
