On the evening of March 20, in LingShui County, Hainan, a electric sightseeing car was hit, resulting in at least 2 deaths and 5 injuries.
A viral video shows several people lying on the ground, some of them unresponsive. In the video, individuals can be seen providing assistance at the scene, surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. According to comments left by the video uploader, it was rumored that the driver was intoxicated.
According to reports from JiMu News, at around 9:50 pm on March 20, Mr. Zhang, a witness in Yingzhou Town, LingShui County, saw a electric sightseeing car being hit on the ring road for island tours. 7 people were lying on the ground, with police and medical personnel on site. Mr. Zhang mentioned, “The electric sightseeing car has three rows of seats, and the area hit was at the front of the car.”
Another witness also stated that he saw 7 individuals injured to varying degrees at the scene.
On the 21st, staff from the LingShui County Emergency Management Bureau responded, confirming that the accident resulted in 2 deaths and 5 injuries. They were all tourists, and the vehicle involved was an electric car.
A staff member from a local hospital’s emergency department mentioned that on the evening of the 20th, they admitted 5 injured individuals from the incident site, with 4 of them currently receiving inpatient treatment.
