Are you looking to give your child a unique life experience this summer? The Overseas Youth English Service Camp, organized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council of the Republic of China, the Department of National and Pre-School Education under the Ministry of Education, the Hakka Affairs Council, and the Indigenous Peoples’ Commission, is now accepting applications for the 2026 program set to run until March 1st.
Since its inception in 2006, the “Overseas Youth English Service Camp” has been encouraging young people interested in English teaching, cultural exchange, and international service to seize the opportunity to create a summer journey that combines learning, service, and personal growth.
Participants who have previously attended the camp shared that the greatest reward after two weeks of teaching was the bond formed with their team members, connecting with the local children, and experiencing Taiwan’s culture through its delicious cuisine. Parents also noted that their children learned valuable lessons in teamwork, gained firsthand experience of a teacher’s hard work, understood the significance of volunteer service, and underwent a transformation in their perspectives on life, all while acquiring priceless experiences.
This year, the camp will take place from July 4th to 31st, 2026, recruiting young overseas Chinese to volunteer in English teaching at various junior and elementary schools across Taiwan.
Applicants must hold an Overseas Community Affairs Council’s iOverseas Card, be enrolled in 11th grade or above at the time of registration, and be 17 years old by November 30th, 2026. Some slots are reserved for students recommended by Chinese language learning centers in Europe and America and Taiwanese teachers.
From now until March 1st, interested individuals can apply online via the Overseas Affairs Activity Registration System (https://gov.tw/ojJ), and download the relevant pamphlets and documents from the specified website (https://gov.tw/NPg).
