Actress Yu Menglong falls to death in Beijing, first reporter revealing news is silenced.

On September 11th, the Weibo account “Detective Xiaoyan” posted a message saying that on the same day in the early hours, the lead actor of “Eternal Love of Dream” and “The Eternal Love of the Prince” series, Yu Menglong, fell to his death in a residential area in Beijing. This incident sparked widespread attention on the internet, with multiple related posts quickly becoming hot topics on Weibo. Currently, the “Detective Xiaoyan” account has been banned from posting. That evening, Yu Menglong’s studio confirmed the news.

At 6:44 pm on September 11th, Yu Menglong’s studio officially announced his passing on their Weibo account, confirming that Yu Menglong had tragically fallen from a building on that day at the age of 37. The studio also revealed that the police investigation has ruled out any criminal suspicion.

At 11:25 am on the same day, the Weibo account “Detective Xiaoyan” released a message stating that Yu Menglong had passed away after falling from a building in a Beijing residential area, providing details such as him having dinner with friends on the evening of September 10th, locking himself in the bedroom to rest at 2 am, his body being found downstairs in the morning without his presence seen by his friends, and his pockets containing two Rolex watches. The police have already ruled out any criminal involvement, with the specific cause still under investigation.

Subsequently, “Detective Xiaoyan” edited the post, removing the mention of the Rolex watches found in his pocket.

In the afternoon, the information regarding Yu Menglong’s fall from the account main page of “Detective Xiaoyan” was no longer visible. Currently, the account is under a ban on posting.

According to a report by “Xiaoxiang Morning News,” some netizens claimed that Yu Menglong fell from a building in the Yangguang Shangdong residential area in Chaoyang District. Contacting the residential property management, the staff acknowledged the incident but mentioned directing inquiries to official reports.

A representative from the Chaoyang Sub-Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau stated that specific details could not be disclosed at the moment and recommended waiting for official notifications.

Yu Menglong finished filming for the series “Long Night” in June of this year. Jumuk News reached out to the production company Zhei Xiang Film Co., Ltd. responsible for “Long Night,” where a staff member expressed astonishment at the news that had surfaced, stating that there were plans for an official announcement that day which had now been disrupted. The employee mentioned the inability to contact Yu Menglong or his agent, leaving them in a waiting phase for updates.

Numerous netizens expressed their thoughts, with one mentioning Yu Menglong’s last online activity on his official account “Yu Menglong Super Topic” being on the 10th of September, while his latest Weibo post dates back to the 3rd of September.

Public records show that all registered companies under Yu Menglong’s name were closed last December and in July of this year, according to findings on Tianyan Check.

Born on June 15, 1988, in Urumqi, Yu Menglong graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and pursued a career as an actor, singer, and music video director.

In 2007, Yu Menglong participated in the talent show “My Show” and made it to the top 16 in the Xi’an region. In 2010, he joined the talent show “Happy Boys,” becoming a candidate for the “Happy Boy Band.” In 2013, he ranked 10th in the national finals of the talent show “Happy Boys.”

Yu Menglong’s notable works include “The Eternal Love of the Prince,” “Eternal Love of Dream,” “The New Legend of Madame White Snake,” among others. Recently, he appeared in period dramas such as “Immortals at the River,” “Starry Starry Night,” “The Failed Knight-Errant,” and “Rain Under One Umbrella.”

In April of this year, the martial arts comedy “The Failed Knight-Errant,” in which Yu Menglong played a role, was aired.

Among the upcoming projects, only the drama “The Wind Rises in the Desert,” directed by Zhang Jian and starring Zhang Ruoyun, features Yu Menglong portraying the character Li Gan, the third son of the Great General Li Guang.
