Former Hong Kong actress Rong Hong, who has been out of the entertainment industry for many years, revealed on September 8 on the show “Live Spiritual Contact” hosted by Leung Sihao and others that due to her sensitive constitution, she is prone to attracting spirits. She mentioned that she had encountered strange occurrences while filming in the past, but one incident where she encountered a ghost left her completely unaware. That evening, Leung Sihao shocked Rong Hong by revealing the truth on the program.
Rong Hong recalled a supernatural experience years ago while filming at an abandoned school in Yuen Long. After the crew finished work early one evening, they were surprised the next day when villagers asked why they were filming so late and making so much noise. This revelation startled Rong Hong, as they had actually wrapped up early the night before.
Another eerie incident during filming was only brought to Rong Hong’s attention on the day of the recording. Host Leung Sihao mentioned that 25 years ago, he, Rong Hong, Esther Kwan, Deric Wan, and a couple named Pang Jianxin and Zhang Dianxia had gone to Canada to shoot a TV drama. He told Rong Hong on the show, “The entire crew knew you encountered a ghost back then, but no one dared to tell you.” Rong Hong was astonished by this revelation.
Describing the hotel they stayed at as somewhat like a castle with many stairs and long corridors, Leung Sihao recalled that there were framed portraits in between rooms, giving the feeling of being watched wherever they walked. The eerie atmosphere of the hotel made everyone a bit fearful, but the real “thrills” were yet to come. Leung Sihao reminisced with Rong Hong, “When I went to your room to find you, as soon as you opened the door, I saw a tall foreign man walking behind you.”
At that time, Leung Sihao refrained from mentioning it to Rong Hong out of fear of scaring her, and it was only 25 years later that he disclosed the truth to her. He chuckled, recalling that almost everyone in the production was experiencing paranormal encounters, with Esther Kwan once having her entire quilt pulled off while she was sleeping, and Leung Sihao finding coins thrown into his shoes at one point.
