On September 8th, the New York Democratic Party held a mobilization rally for the 2024 election at Verdi Square in Manhattan. Over thirty Democratic Party members from the 65th Assembly District Leader Yu Jinshan’s office participated in the event, actively encouraging citizens to vote.
The rally was presided over by Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, who pointed out that despite the Democratic Party’s firm footing in New York City, flipping the congress still relies on the support of the six congressional districts in New York state. He urged everyone to redouble their efforts. Over a dozen congressmen, state senators, city council members took turns speaking to energize and support the New York Democratic Party for the November election.
State Assemblyman Li Rong’en from the Lower East Side and over twenty Democratic Party officials were present to show their support, creating a lively atmosphere at the event. Mark Levine praised and thanked District Leader Yu Jinshan and the Chinese American Democrats for their enthusiastic participation.
In preparation for the November general elections, Yu Jinshan’s office is open seven days a week, providing voter services and registration for Chinese Americans from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is located at East Broadway, No. 88 Yidong Shopping Center in Chinatown.
