Trump announces Pentagon will soon disclose UFO files.

On Friday, April 17th, US President Trump revealed at the “Turning Point USA” event in Phoenix, Arizona that he has directed the Department of Defense to begin declassifying and releasing government files relating to “Unidentified Flying Objects” (UFOs) and “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” (UAP).

President Trump stated that the review process is progressing smoothly, and the first batch of documents will be released shortly.

Addressing the crowd of supporters, Trump specifically mentioned that he has recently instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to start releasing government files on UFOs.

“I recently instructed the Defense Secretary… to start releasing government files related to UFOs and UAPs,” Trump told the audience.

He humorously added, “I think this is a group of people who are very suitable to hear about this because I know you – you are really concerned about this.”

“This work is already underway, and I must say, we have found many very interesting documents,” Trump promised the crowd. “The first batch of files will be released soon, very soon. You can go and see for yourself to confirm whether this phenomenon is real.”

This is not the first time Trump has spoken out on this issue recently. In February of this year, he posted on the social platform Truth Social stating that he is directing the Department of Defense to release “information related to aliens and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and unidentified flying objects, and all information related to these highly complex yet extremely interesting and important matters.”

This move also echoes calls within the Republican Party for transparency in information. Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee has repeatedly urged the government to unveil the mysterious aspects of UFO files, allowing the American people to judge the truth for themselves.

In addition, Anna Paulina Luna, Chair of the House Oversight Committee’s “Federal Classified Declassification Special Task Force” and a Republican Congresswoman from Florida, is actively pushing for the military to provide images of 46 UAP formations observed in Iran, the Persian Gulf, the East China Sea, and US airports.

“UAP poses a real threat in US controlled airspace and its surroundings, with insufficient information disclosure causing concern,” Luna said. “UAP appearing near sensitive airspace of US military installations poses a threat to the safety and readiness of armed forces.”
