On December 1st at noon, a sudden fire broke out on the Industrial Avenue North in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. A truck caught fire, and the flames spread rapidly, igniting dozens of electric bicycles parked on the roadside.

Multiple on-site videos show the truck catching fire and the flames spreading quickly, creating a line of fire that engulfed roadside facilities and other vehicles, with thick black smoke billowing up from the scene. Nearby residents reported hearing explosions coming from the fire.

Around 3 p.m., a local shop owner near the scene told journalists from “Gaze News” that the incident occurred around 1:40 p.m. The location is very close to the subway station, with many electric bicycles parked there. The fire spread tens of meters, burning a row of electric bikes, totaling dozens, before it was extinguished.

At 1:41 p.m. on December 1st, a truck caught fire at the entrance of the Wuyi New Village residential area in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. The fire was fierce, creating a line of fire along the road and burning several dozen electric bikes. By 1:54 p.m., the fire was successfully put out with no casualties reported.

Local businesses informed reporters from “Xiaoxiang Morning News” that initially there was a vehicle collision, which caused one of the vehicles to leak oil, leading the oil to flow onto the nearby road where the electric bikes were parked. This resulted in the fire spreading to a row of electric bikes along the roadside. They estimated that around 1:40 p.m., one of the electric bikes caught fire. Fire trucks and ambulances arrived at the scene. By around 2:10 p.m., there were no visible flames, but some batteries were still emitting smoke, with electric bike battery storage cabinets nearby.
