The 2025 Andrews Air and Space Expo took place at Andrews Air Force Base in the United States last weekend, on the 13th and 14th of September. This year’s event featured impressive aerial acrobatics performances and a variety of static displays of military aircraft, offering a spectacular visual feast for the thousands of aviation enthusiasts and military personnel in attendance.

In addition to providing the public with the opportunity to get up close to American military equipment and aircraft, the exhibition also featured various aerobatic performances. The lineup included the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, making it one of the most anticipated air shows in the country.

The static displays showcased aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle fighter jet, the C-17 next-generation transport aircraft, the B-1 Lancer strategic bomber, the B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber, and the Apache attack helicopter, among others. Each aircraft on the tarmac had its doors open, inviting visitors to come and take a closer look.

Andrews Air Force Base also had a section dedicated to aviation exhibition booths, focusing on aviation science, space technology, cutting-edge engineering, Air Force arts programs, and practical mathematics, among others. The sprawling site featured dozens of exhibition booths, making it an ideal destination for family-friendly activities.

Located in Camp Springs, Maryland, just 8 miles east of Washington, D.C., Andrews Air Force Base boasts a history of over 80 years. It serves as the flight base for Air Force One, the presidential aircraft, and is known as one of the world’s most modern Air Force bases, earning it the nickname “The Gateway to the Capital.”
