On the morning of July 14, Eastern Time, NASA astronaut Anil Menon embarked on his first space mission, boarding the “Soyuz MS-29” spacecraft along with fellow astronauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina from the Russian Space Agency. The launch was live-streamed by New Tang Dynasty and Epoch Times, with real-time subtitle translations.
The launch was scheduled to take place at 10:47 a.m. Eastern Time on July 14, 2026 (14:47 Coordinated Universal Time). The spacecraft and crew are planned to dock with the space station at approximately 1:56 p.m. Eastern Time on the same day (17:56 Coordinated Universal Time).
Menon, Dubrov, and Kikina are expected to stay at the space station for about eight months. During their stay, Menon will conduct scientific research and technology demonstrations aimed at advancing human space exploration and benefiting life on Earth.
