The Taiwan national baseball team defeated the Japanese team with a score of 4-0 in the World Baseball Classic championship game, claiming the world championship title. To celebrate this victory, a grand parade named “Baseball Heroes – Taiwan Shang Yong” was held this afternoon (26th) on Ketagalan Boulevard in front of the Presidential Office.
The “Baseball Heroes – Taiwan Shang Yong” parade kicked off at 3:20 pm today in front of the Presidential Office on Ketagalan Boulevard in the Republic of China. The championship team members were warmly welcomed by the public and later had the honor of meeting President Lai Ching-te and Vice President Hsiao Mei-chin at the Presidential Office.
Starting from the intersection of Park Road and Ketagalan Boulevard, the “Baseball Heroes – Taiwan Shang Yong” parade proceeded along Xiangyang Road, turned into Guanqian Road’s “Hero Valley,” where victory confetti was showered to pay tribute to the Taiwanese heroes. The route then turned left onto the southern section of Zhongxiao West Road, followed by a left turn onto the southern section of Chongqing South Road, expecting to arrive at the Presidential Office before 4 pm. The President and Vice President greeted the delegation, representing the entire nation in thanking them for showcasing Taiwan to the world.
