Macy’s Flower Show at Herald Square in Manhattan kicks off with a stunning display of green plants and flowers, setting the stage for the 51st annual event from April 23 to May 10. This immersive spring experience combines nature, design, and art to delight visitors.
The theme of this year’s flower show is “Homegrown,” showcasing a selection of flowers and plants from various locations around the world, including Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, and the United States, with thousands of flowers provided by partner The Bouqs Co. The landscape features multi-level floral and green plant installations that connect from the entrance display area to the main courtyard exhibition area. Various themed scenes such as garden arches, 3D plant walls, and seasonal floral arrangements create a strong visual and sensory impact. The overall design integrates color, fragrance, and variations in spatial levels to create an atmosphere of wandering through outdoor flower fields, emphasizing the connection between people and nature. Many visitors can be seen capturing the vibrant spring scenes with their cameras.
Macy’s highlights that the flower show has become one of the most representative spring events in New York City since its inception, attracting seasonal tourist traffic to the city and enhancing the cultural and artistic value of retail spaces through creative displays. In its 51st year and coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, this year’s event combines business and art to provide customers with a diverse and unique viewing and shopping experience.
The flower show is open during store hours and admission is free without the need for reservations. Visit during the spring flower-viewing season to enjoy the displays. For more information on activities, visit the official website at www.macys.com/s/flower-show/.
