Chinese Communist Party sends 19 warships to disturb Taiwan, Taiwan military closely monitors and responds.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that from 6 a.m. on the 7th to 6 a.m. today (8th), a total of 11 incidents involving Chinese Communist aircraft and 8 Chinese Communist ships were detected, totaling 19 aircraft and ships continuously operating in the waters near Taiwan. Additionally, one Chinese Communist balloon was found floating in Taiwan’s airspace, and the Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding to the situation.

The latest report on the situation in mainland China by the Mainland Affairs Council of the Republic of China mentioned that this year will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the liberation of Taiwan. It is assessed that the Chinese Communist Party may take the opportunity to promote reunification through related commemorative activities.

President of the Republic of China, Lai Ching-te, pointed out during the Lunar New Year that the Chinese Communist Party’s united front tactics towards Taiwan are becoming increasingly severe. He urged everyone to protect Taiwan together and emphasized that the country’s sovereignty and democratic way of life must not be sacrificed.

Almost every day this year, the Chinese Communist Party has been sending aircraft and ships to the waters near Taiwan to disrupt the region. The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China announced this morning the dynamics of Chinese Communist military activities in the airspace near Taiwan. From 6 a.m. on the 7th to 6 a.m. today, a total of 11 incidents of Chinese Communist aircraft (9 of which crossed the midline of the Taiwan Strait into the northern and southwestern airspace) and 8 Chinese Communist ships have been detected in the waters near Taiwan. The Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding using aircraft, ships, and land-based missile systems.

According to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China, a diagram of Chinese Communist military activities in the airspace near Taiwan indicated that from 7:45 a.m. to 6:05 p.m. on the 7th, 5 Chinese Communist main fighter jets and drones were detected in the Taiwan Strait airspace, with 3 incidents crossing the midline of the Taiwan Strait. Additionally, from 9:50 a.m. to 9:25 p.m., 2 Chinese Communist main fighter jets were detected in northern Taiwan airspace, and from 10:50 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., 4 Chinese Communist main fighter jets were detected in southwestern Taiwan airspace.

Furthermore, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China reported the presence of 1 Chinese Communist balloon floating in the airspace on the 7th, located 125 nautical miles southwest of Keelung at an altitude of 20,000 feet at 7:20 a.m. on that day, and disappearing at 7:50 a.m.

On the 7th, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that from 6 a.m. on the 6th to 6 a.m. on the 7th, 9 instances of Chinese Communist aircraft crossing the midline of the Taiwan Strait into the southwestern airspace, 6 Chinese Communist ships, and 2 government vessels were detected, continuously conducting activities in the waters near Taiwan. The Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding using aircraft, ships, and land-based missile systems.

Additionally, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China reported the presence of 6 Chinese Communist balloons in operation. The first balloon was detected at 5:45 p.m. on the 6th, 80 nautical miles northwest of Keelung at an altitude of 17,000 feet and disappeared at 7 p.m.; the second balloon was detected at 10:10 a.m. on the 6th, 70 nautical miles northwest of Keelung at an altitude of 18,000 feet and disappeared at 11 a.m.; the third balloon was detected at 10:05 a.m. on the 6th, 65 nautical miles northwest of Keelung at an altitude of 20,000 feet and disappeared at 11:45 a.m.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China pointed out that the fourth balloon was detected at 8:35 a.m. on the 6th, 100 nautical miles southwest of Keelung at an altitude of 16,000 feet and disappeared at 9:25 a.m.; the fifth balloon was detected at 4:55 p.m. on the 6th, 80 nautical miles northwest of Taichung at an altitude of 16,000 feet and disappeared at 6:15 p.m.; the sixth balloon was detected at 2:40 p.m. on the 6th, 65 nautical miles northwest of Taichung at an altitude of 18,000 feet and disappeared at 4:20 p.m.
