According to comments left by the person who filmed the video, the location of the dragon absorbing water phenomenon was near Lianhuan Lake in Siji Village, Aolin Township, Du’er Hope County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, around 5:20 pm on August 27th.
On August 28th, a witness named Ms. Zhang told the Beijing News that she was several kilometers away from the site where the dragon absorbed water appeared. She described the weather around her as particularly good, except for the black clouds on the lake with a water column beneath them. The entire process lasted for about four to five minutes, and she mentioned she had never seen such a phenomenon before, finding it quite frightening.
