Milton disrupts election, Trump targets Pennsylvania, He Jinli travels to the West.

On Wednesday, Donald Trump is set to hold a rally in the crucial state of Pennsylvania, while Vice President Kamala Harris is preparing for another visit to the West. Meanwhile, Hurricane Milton is currently threatening Florida, which may disrupt the campaign schedules of both presidential candidates.

The former President plans to hold events in Scranton, Pennsylvania (also Joe Biden’s birthplace), and Reading, where two-thirds of the population is Hispanic. He is expected to discuss economic and immigration issues in Reading.

Hurricane Milton has caused Trump to postpone a virtual event focusing on healthcare scheduled for Tuesday night, as well as a Univision town hall event in Miami.

Vice President Harris is scheduled to host her own Univision town hall meeting in Las Vegas on Thursday before returning to Arizona. This will be her second visit to these states in less than two weeks. Prior to heading to Nevada, she will participate in a briefing at the White House on Wednesday on hurricanes and federal response measures.

President Biden has postponed his planned visits to Germany and Angola for this week, stating, “I just feel like I can’t leave the country at this time.”

Just days ago, Hurricane Helene caused over 220 deaths in six southeastern states, leaving behind massive destruction. Federal, state, and local authorities are working hard to alleviate the disaster while preparing for the next storm.

Harris taped a segment on ABC’s “The View” in New York on Tuesday and also had interviews with radio host Howard Stern and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” During her appearances, she failed to highlight major differences between her future administration and the Biden administration.

On “The View,” Harris said, “I have absolutely no idea.”

In response, Trump mocked Harris on his “Truth Social” platform, ridiculing her for “not doing anything different from Biden,” and labeling Biden as “the worst president in American history.”

Harris also had some disparaging words for her opponent. Bob Woodward’s new book “War” mentions that during his presidency, Trump secretly sent coronavirus test kits to Russia ruled by Vladimir Putin in 2020, at a time when they were scarce in the United States. In response, she angrily said, “Do you remember those days?”

In her appearance on Colbert’s show, Harris asked, “Do you remember how many people couldn’t get tested and were scrambling for tests? Do you remember how rare those tests were?”

Regarding Trump, she stated, “This man sent coronavirus test kits to Vladimir Putin, think about what that means? He thinks Vladimir Putin is his friend, what about the American people? They should be your primary concern.”

Trump has denied this report. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the U.S. did send test kits, but referred to them as “testers” and denied the notion of a secret exchange.

Peskov stated in a message on Wednesday, “There was no secret transportation, the pandemic had already started spreading, many countries were providing equipment to each other, we sent ventilators, testers from the United States.”
