Renowned actress and talent manager Carina Lau recently traveled to Europe to visit her husband, Tony Leung, who is shooting a new film. The couple took advantage of their free time to explore the city together, and their intimate moments were captured by local netizens.
On March 15, Tony Leung won his sixth Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film “Silent Friend,” which he was filming in Germany at the time. Despite being unable to attend the award ceremony in person, Leung made a virtual appearance. Recently, taking a rare break from his busy schedule, Carina Lau joined him in Europe for a short vacation.
Known for their wide circle of friends, the couple recently had dinner with Japanese former news anchor Emiri Nakamura and her husband, who reside in the south of France. The group of four seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. Emiri Nakamura shared a photo on Instagram revealing that when Leung lived in Japan, his favorite Japanese phrase was “Please fill up with premium gasoline,” accompanied by two laughing emojis.
In another instance, on April 27, a netizen on Weibo shared a sighting of Tony Leung and Carina Lau while traveling in the south of France. Photos showed Lau holding Leung’s wrist as they descended a staircase together, and in another image, Lau affectionately touched Leung’s head, showcasing their sweet and loving relationship.
Carina Lau recently discussed how she and Tony Leung spend Valentine’s Day during an interview. She mentioned that they rarely celebrate the occasion, as they cherish their everyday interactions and prefer spending time with friends. However, they always exchange gifts and Carina writes heartfelt cards for Tony. When asked if she hopes for surprises, Carina said, “I appreciate surprises. Women are simple; receiving a flower or a thoughtful gesture makes us happy, and of course, a gift would make us even happier.”
Tony Leung, who has previously won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival, announced last year that he would be filming in Germany. Recently, during a break from filming “Silent Friend,” he and the film’s director, Ildiko Enyedi, were invited to sign the prestigious Golden Book of a German city.
The Golden Book is a record of significant events in German cities, similar to a local chronicle. Signing the book is considered an honor, with past signatories including Nobel Prize winners. “Silent Friend” will be Leung’s first European film, eagerly anticipated by local and global fans of the talented actor.
