Mysterious Stone Found in Hebei Wheat Field Sparks Heated Discussion Among Netizens on “Change of Dynasty”

In a field of wheat in Yili Village, Da Zi Wen Town, Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, a huge mysterious stone appeared after thunder and lightning. Official experts believe that the rock is a fulgurite (commonly known as a “thunderbolt stone”). However, netizens have discussed its relation to political changes, saying, “There are no words written on the stone, right?” and “The world may change after the death of the second generation.”

According to reports from mainland media on June 16th, Liu Yu, a villager in Yili Village, stated to the media that on the evening of June 12, while working in the wheat field during a light rain and continuous thunder, he saw a lightning strike around 7 p.m., followed by a loud thunder nearby. Following the sound of the thunder, he found flames in fellow villager Liu Junkai’s wheat field, with sparks flying.

Liu Junkai mentioned that the next morning, his nephew saw a gray-green stone exposed in the wheat field, realizing that there was a strange stone on their land.

Another villager mentioned that on the evening of June 12, while dining out, they saw a high-voltage wire falling to the ground with fire burning. When they returned after dinner at 11 p.m., the fire was still burning, suspecting that the high-voltage wire set the ground on fire.

Village officials confirmed that the thunder and lightning indeed caused the high-voltage wire to fall, but the power department arrived within 10 minutes to handle the situation. The village official speculated that the formation of the strange stone was likely due to the lightning instantly “burning the ground.”

Upon excavation, the rock is shaped like a mass, measuring 130 cm in length, 52 cm in width, and currently exposed to a depth of 90 cm. The rock’s surface is yellow-green glassy, transitioning downwards to black glassy, with a Mohs hardness of 5-6, and the rock becomes more porous deeper down.

Reported by Zonglan News, on June 16, reporters visited Yili Village, where villagers had already taken measures to protect the site. The rock appeared gray-green overall with a bottom resembling tree roots. Professor Ding Yi from Hebei University of Geology Museum, who came along, preliminarily determined that the rock was a fulgurite formed by lightning impacting the surface, commonly known as a thunderbolt stone.

On June 17, eyewitness Mr. Zhang told Extreme Vision News that the thunderbolt stone had been brought back to the owner’s home from the wheat field, and some people had gone to the site to search for more. Currently, the Hebei Provincial Department of Mines has taken samples for testing.

This incident sparked heated discussions among netizens: “It’s amazing, the plains are mostly loess, how can there be stones?” “What kind of sand can form such a large piece?” “Meteorite?” “First time hearing about it.” “The Thunder God and Thunder Goddess are concocting elixirs.”

Some netizens mentioned historical allusions, hinting at an upcoming political change, “There are no words on the stone, right?” “Heaven is dead, Yellow Sky will rise?” “The second generation dies, and the land is divided.” “Do not say the stone man, one eye.”

In Chinese history, anomalies often appeared at the end of a dynasty, signaling an impending change of rule.

In “Records of the Grand Historian – Biography of Qin Shi Huang,” it is recorded that before the death of Qin Shi Huang, a great meteorite fell from the sky with the inscription “Upon the death of Qin Shi Huang, the land will divide.” This was a prophecy, and after the death of Qin Shi Huang, the states he conquered began to regain their independence and control their territories.

In “History of Yuan Dynasty,” during the Zhi Yuan period of the Yuan Dynasty, there was a massive flood of the Yellow River. There was a folk rhyme saying “A stone man with one eye, stirs up the Yellow River, and the world revolts.” Later, when the authorities were repairing the river, they excavated a stone man with one eye, bearing the inscription “A stone man with one eye, stirs up the Yellow River, and the world revolts.” Subsequently, a peasant uprising erupted on a large scale.

Various prophecies and anomalies predicting a change of rule in China have been circulating for some time. In June 2002, a “Death of the Communist Party Stone” (“Hidden Word Stone”) appeared in Pingtang County, Guizhou Province: in the dark gray rocks of the Permian Qixia Formation dating back around 270 million years, naturally formed six large characters protruding from the stone surface, reading “The Communist Party of China Languishes.” The official Chinese state media also reported this incident, but dared not mention the last “Languishes.”
