On June 10, 2025, President Trump announced his decision to maintain the Starlink service at the White House, referring to it as a valuable service. Starlink service is provided by SpaceX, led by Elon Musk. The President also expressed well wishes for Musk and hinted that Musk should give him a call.
Following a heated argument a few days ago, tensions between Trump and Musk seemed to have eased over the past two days.
President Trump hinted to reporters on Monday that Musk should have reached out to him after the explosive incident. He stated that if he were Musk, he would want to speak with the President with whom he had a conflict.
“Maybe he already made the call, you have to ask him, ask him if he called. But I have no issue with that. I don’t want to say this… but I can imagine he would want to talk to me,” Trump told reporters.
President Trump also mentioned that he did not witness any physical altercation between Musk and Treasury Secretary Beasley at the White House, addressing recent media reports.
“Listen, I wish him all the best,” Trump said on Monday. “You know, we had a good relationship.”
Last week, Musk made a series of public criticisms against Trump on social media platform X, to which Trump responded in a relatively restrained manner. Musk later deleted some of his more provocative remarks.
After large-scale riots broke out in Los Angeles due to immigration enforcement actions, Musk retweeted a post from Trump on the “Truth Social” platform on the evening of June 8. The post criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for mishandling the unrest.
Although Musk only retweeted Trump’s tweet without adding any comments, this action was seen as his support for Trump on this issue.
Fox Digital News reported last Friday that Musk was hoping to have a conversation with Trump, and White House aides may facilitate a meeting.
