American pop singer Oliver Tree, 32, tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 15th. The helicopter he was traveling in collided with another helicopter and crashed into a car dealership’s parking lot. All six people on board the helicopter perished, leaving fans stunned by the heartbreaking news.
According to the Rio de Janeiro fire department, the two helicopters collided in mid-air and both crashed, resulting in no survivors. One of the helicopters fell into a car dealership’s display area, causing extensive damage to the ground facilities and igniting several electric cars parked there. The high-temperature impact of the crashing helicopter sparked a rapid reaction in the lithium batteries, leading to a fire that engulfed around 20 vehicles, creating a scene of thick smoke and intense devastation.
Reports from the American media outlet “Page Six” revealed that five of the victims were on the same helicopter, including the American singer Oliver Tree, Argentine social media influencer Gaspi, a Brazilian music producer, and an Argentine director. The other helicopter had only the pilot on board.
Oliver Tree was currently on a South American tour at the time of the accident and was scheduled to kick off a tour in eight cities in China in October. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
