According to the official data from the China Earthquake Networks Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 32.76 degrees north latitude and 105.49 degrees east longitude.
Reports from netizens indicate that strong tremors were felt in Mianyang, Jiange, and Nanchong, with noticeable shaking in Zhongba, accompanied by rumbling sounds.
Furthermore, residents in Gansu reported receiving mobile alerts of two earthquakes in Wenxian County, one measuring 4.4 magnitude and the other 3.8 magnitude. Wenxian County shares a border with the epicenter in Qingchuan.
Mainland China has experienced frequent earthquakes this year, especially in Sichuan. Prior to this event, on April 26th at 12:21, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Baiyu County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
