Minneapolis Police have discovered three bodies in different locations across the city, just a few miles apart. The most recent discovery was made near the Stone Arch Bridge in the city on Monday, August 17th.
According to reports from FOX9, the most recent body was found near the bridge by University of Minnesota campus police. The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Randip Eugene Satoskar. Investigations are still ongoing, and there is currently no evidence linking this incident to any other events.
The first body was found in a wooded area at East River Flats Park by the Mississippi River on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Minnesota Star Tribune reported that the woman found on Saturday night has been identified as 56-year-old Karen Lynn Sognesand from Maple Grove.
Her obituary states, “Our most loving, caring daughter, sister, and friend left us too soon. The battles with mental illness and the loss of her father were too heavy for her to bear.”
The second body was discovered near the shores of Bde Maka Ska lake on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board issued a statement saying the body was severely decomposed when found.
It is unclear at this time whether the three bodies are connected to any criminal activity, as police have not revealed any evidence linking these incidents.
