Taiwan Military Detects 31 Chinese Communist Vessels Disturbing Taiwan, Vigilantly Monitoring and Responding

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense stated that from 6 a.m. on the 26th to 6 a.m. today (27th), a total of 31 Chinese Communist military aircraft and ships were detected operating around the Taiwan Strait, and the Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding to the situation.

According to the public statement from Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense regarding the dynamic activities of Chinese Communist forces in the airspace and waters around the Taiwan Strait from 6 a.m. on the 26th to 6 a.m. today, they identified 23 incidents of Chinese Communist military aircraft (including 16 instances crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait into the northern and southwestern airspace) and 7 Chinese Communist ships along with 1 government vessel, making it a total of 31 Chinese Communist military assets persistently operating around the Taiwan Strait.

Based on the illustrative diagram released by Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense today, from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the 26th, a total of 14 Chinese Communist main fighter jets and drones were detected in the airspace over the Taiwan Strait, with 7 incidents crossing the median line.

Additionally, from 6:25 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. on the 26th, the Taiwanese military detected 9 Chinese Communist main and support fighter jets and drones operating in the southwestern airspace near Taiwan.

The Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan indicated the use of surveillance aircraft, naval vessels, and land-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the activities of Chinese Communist forces.

On the 26th, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense issued a press release at 12:30 p.m., reporting that starting from 8:48 a.m., a total of 33 Chinese Communist fighter jets and drones, including J-16 and KJ-500 aircraft, engaged in provocative activities by crossing the median line and extended line into Taiwan’s northern, central, and southwestern airspace, in coordination with Chinese Communist ships under the guise of “joint combat alert patrols” to harass the surrounding airspace and waters of Taiwan. The Taiwanese military employed joint intelligence surveillance methods to keep a tight grip on the situation and deployed surveillance aircraft, naval vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond appropriately.

The Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan also mentioned that from 6 a.m. on the 25th to 6 a.m. on the 26th, a total of 14 Chinese Communist military aircraft (including 1 crossing the median line into the southwestern airspace) and 7 Chinese Communist ships along with 1 government vessel were detected persistently operating around the Taiwan Strait. The Taiwanese military continued to maintain a vigilant watch using surveillance aircraft, naval vessels, and land-based missile systems to monitor and respond to the situation.
