On December 18, 2025, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Monday, December 15, that Danone U.S. is voluntarily recalling its “So Delicious Dairy Free” brand Salted Caramel Cluster non-dairy frozen dessert (pint-size) product across the United States. The product may contain foreign objects, including small stones, which could have contaminated the cashew ingredients.
According to a report by Fox News on Tuesday, December 16, the FDA specified that the recall is limited to a specific product: the Salted Caramel flavor of the So Delicious Dairy Free brand, with SKU number 136603, UPC barcode 744473476138, and a best by date before August 8, 2027. No other So Delicious Dairy Free brand codes, flavors, or products are affected.
Danone U.S. initiated this voluntary recall on December 15, 2025, and has informed the FDA. The company is swiftly collaborating with retailers to remove potentially affected products from the shelves. The product is sold in retail stores across the United States.
The FDA advises consumers to check if they have the recalled products at home to ensure safety and should not consume them if purchased.
In a statement, Danone U.S. mentioned that they have identified and corrected the issue and will soon reintroduce this popular frozen dessert. The statement emphasized that the So Delicious Dairy Free brand values every consumer’s experience and initiated this voluntary recall based on their commitment to product quality and consumer safety.
