The viral video on the internet showed a young man in a black short-sleeved t-shirt in the streets of Humen Town, Dongguan, holding a knife against his own neck, forcing the police to keep a distance, with seven or eight fully armed police officers surrounding him. The man walked back and forth, seemingly trying to evade the police blockade.

According to “Fingertip News,” insiders revealed that the video circulated was from the second scene. The man had come from Shenzhen to Humen, where he had previously kidnapped a Didi ride-hailing car, crashed it at the intersection of Humen North Barrier Expressway, and fled. He was later found near Yulon Mall on Humen Avenue and was chased by the police to Zhenyuan Bridge.

On the same day, the Humen police in Dongguan, Guangdong reported that at 8:56 am on the 23rd on Humen Avenue in Humen Town, a man suspected of armed robbery held a vegetable knife and confronted the police. Eventually, the man was arrested.
