Global Top Universities Ranking 2025: 13 American Universities Enter Top 20

Recently, the news magazine “U.S. News & World Report” released the 2025 global ranking of the best universities, showing that 13 higher education institutions in the United States are among the top 20 universities worldwide.

The ranking compiled by the authoritative global education institution “U.S. News & World Report” for the 2025-2026 academic year includes 2250 top universities from over a hundred countries. Among the top 20 universities, 13 are from the United States. Here is the specific ranking of these 20 universities:

One of the most renowned universities in the United States offers courses in over 100 languages. In the 2024-2025 academic year, international students accounted for 27.2% of the total student population.

With a focus on STEM fields and a reputation for low acceptance rates, it is a highly internationalized institution. Currently, there are over 3,430 international students enrolled, and in the 2023-2024 academic year, the university hosted 2,247 international scholars from 100 countries.

Stanford University’s ranking benefits from its summer opportunities, such as the Global Studies Internship Program. Through this program, the university sends students to study various subjects in over twenty countries across six continents.

As one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the UK, Oxford University attracts students from 175 countries and regions, drawing scholars and academics from around the world.

Cambridge University is one of the eleven members of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), comprised of research universities from nine countries worldwide. The university has 3,115 undergraduate students from approximately 95 countries, with nearly 600 students and scholars from over seventy countries currently enrolled.
