The highly popular Korean drama “Queen of Tears” aired its final episode on the 28th and set a new record for the highest viewership rating in the history of tvN dramas. The lead actor, Kim Soo Hyun, shared his thoughts on the end of the drama, and the cast thanked the audience for helping achieve the highest ratings in history.

In the final episode, episode 16, the viewership rating in the capital area reached an impressive 28.4%, making it not only the highest rating for the drama but also surpassing “Crash Landing on You” starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, setting a new viewership record for tvN dramas. After the drama concluded, the official tvN SNS account released photos of the cast holding up messages they wrote for the audience.

Kim Soo Hyun, who played the male lead White Yeon Woo, wrote: “tvN’s all-time highest ratings! Let’s watch it all over again! Thank you, everyone.” Kim Ji Won, who played the female lead Hong Hae In, wrote: “Achieving tvN’s all-time highest ratings, thank you for your love! Wishing everyone health and happiness.”

Park Sung Hoon, who portrayed the antagonist Yoon In Sung, humorously wrote while celebrating the top ratings: “Sincerely thank you all! I will live kindly in the next life!”

The official SNS also shared congratulatory messages written by Guo Dong Yan, who played Hong Hae In’s younger brother Hong Soo Cheol, and Lee Ju Bi, who portrayed Soo Cheol’s wife, Chae Do Hui, for the record-breaking viewership.
