On December 14, 2024, according to a report from Liaoning Television Station in mainland China, 37-year-old host Li Xinxin tragically perished in a fire that broke out in his home study on September 4th of this year. On the same day of his funeral, Li’s wife discovered she was pregnant, and she is now over five months along.

After being missing for over three months, the sudden news of Li Xinxin’s death shocked many. A netizen who claimed to be Li Xinxin’s classmate posted on December 11th, revealing that he passed away on September 4th due to the fire in his home office. The netizen, who was abroad at the time, only found out three months later and was emotionally devastated, crying bitterly in the middle of the night.

A close friend of Li Xinxin revealed that on the day of the accident, Li had been recording a program in the morning and went home to rest afterward. Unfortunately, the fire broke out in his study while he was asleep, leaving him unable to escape.

Reportedly, Li Xinxin had been married for only two years, and his wife narrowly escaped the fire as she was on duty at the hospital that night. On the day of Li Xinxin’s funeral, she discovered her pregnancy and made the decision to keep the child and raise it on her own. She is now over five months pregnant.

After confirming the news of Li Xinxin’s passing, some netizens were curious about the cause of the fire in his study. Some speculated that Li Xinxin enjoyed drinking and might have accidentally set the fire while smoking under the influence. However, his old classmates denied this speculation, stating that Li Xinxin rarely drank and suggesting that it could have been an electrical issue that led to the fire, compounded by the fact that it happened in the middle of the night, catching Li Xinxin unaware.

Subsequently, an informant from Liaoning clarified that the fire was caused by the computer in the study, generating thick smoke that led to Li Xinxin’s death from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Records show that 37-year-old Li Xinxin graduated from Liaoning University and began working at Liaoning Television Station in 2009, taking on roles as a cameraperson, reporter, editor, producer, and anchor. He had hosted various programs, including “Live Life Morning Peak,” and had received awards at national museum interpretation competitions.

In the wake of Li Xinxin’s passing, his co-host Li Meiling shared a message: “Brother, I miss you a little. I believe there is another existence in a different space, and you have just crossed over there.”
