Five people dead in residential building fire in Wuzhou, Guangxi

On the morning of August 3rd around 8:30 am, a residential building in Chengnan Avenue, Longxu District, Wuzhou City, Guangxi, caught fire, with local reports stating that the incident resulted in the death of 5 people.

A viral video circulating online shows a five-story street-facing building engulfed in flames, with the fire raging on the ground floor, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky above the building and surrounding the area with dense smoke.

On the afternoon of August 3rd, emergency response personnel from the Wuzhou City Emergency Management Bureau responded to mainland media, stating that the fire occurred in a five-story residential building, originating on the first floor with a fire area of approximately 20 square meters, fueled by stored debris.

Currently, the fire has been extinguished, and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
