On August 17, Jiangsu rights activist Yang Caiying, who is residing in Japan, accused the Chinese Communist Party of using brutal methods to detain and deprive medical treatment to her seriously ill family members for a long period of time, resulting in the death of her mother and restricted medical care for her sister.
Yang Caiying’s family, including her mother Xu Dongqing and sister Yang Li, are farmers from Jintan District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. They have been subjected to long-term persecution after exposing government officials’ corruption in land requisition and demolition projects. Xu Dongqing passed away due to the persecution, while Yang Li, suffering from kidney disease, has seen her condition deteriorate due to prolonged medical neglect, requiring dialysis three times a week.
Yang Caiying stood in front of the Chinese consulate on August 17 and accused the implicated officials, including Jin Tan District Party Secretary Xu Yawei, Jintan District Xicheng Street Director Luan Liukang, and Binhu Police Station Chief Ma Yunpeng, of their wrongdoings.
She stated, “Xu Yawei, the District Party Secretary of Jintan, colluded with the underworld during land requisition and demolition to gain profits. He continues to use dark methods to control the police as thugs, subjecting my seriously ill mother and sister to various abuses, preventing them from seeking medical treatment, leading to my mother’s passing and restricting medical care for my sister through surveillance.”
“Luan Liukang, the Director of Xicheng Street in Jintan, refused to intervene when hired thugs from the underworld were causing chaos and forcing evictions during the tenure of ousted Secretary Fan Shoubai. Instead, he allowed the thugs to attack my family, resulting in my mother suffering a heart attack due to excessive fright. After taking office as the street director, he employed retired soldiers with a history of murder (self-confessed murderers who still desired to kill) and members of the underworld to conduct long-term surveillance and violent assaults on my family.”
“Ma Yunpeng, the Chief of Binhu Police Station in Jintan, took office in 2024 and first used police and the underworld to intercept and prevent medical treatment, fabricating false charges (persecuting my mother and sister into imprisonment), where they deliberately subjected my seriously ill mother and sister to torture and medical neglect in prison. After their release, they continued to use violent methods such as pulling out nails and hitting heads to prevent my sister from seeking medical treatment, even abandoning my sister, who was severely ill and unable to walk, on the road in the middle of a cold winter night. During my mother’s wake, my father was fatally attacked by thugs, and the police refused to intervene, allowing my father to be beaten until he required medical rescue, with plainclothes interfering with treatment.”
Yang Caiying stated, “In addition to the aforementioned atrocities, there are countless more crimes and misdeeds, each worse than what the public knows about the underworld!”
Yang Caiying expressed, “Currently, Yang Li’s condition has not improved, although she can receive dialysis at the hospital, other patients were told by the hospital staff that my sister is insane, thus needing to be isolated during dialysis. Hospital leaders also informed doctors that my family is a politically opposing force that must be strictly monitored. Now, whenever my sister goes out, she is constantly being followed.”
“There are internal sources from Jintan District People’s Hospital revealing that the dialysis machine used by my sister was purchased using stability maintenance funds by the government. Hospital staff internally question whether the authorities are trying to embezzle stability maintenance funds,” she revealed.
Yang Caiying told a reporter from Dajiyuan, “Under the leadership of Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party has become the world’s largest underworld organization, with stability maintenance brutal officials using dark methods and forces to suppress and persecute dissidents.”
