“Embrace martial arts to cultivate oneself, nurture the heart with virtue.” On August 15, 2026, the 9th NTD World Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition held its finals in Manhattan, New York. After intense competition, a total of 39 contestants were awarded silver, bronze, excellence, special contribution, heritage contribution, and honor awards, marking the successful conclusion of this year’s competition.
The competition showcased a variety of traditional martial arts forms and weaponry, each with its distinct characteristics. Forms such as tumbling fists, lotus fists, five-hand fists, four-gate swords, and whip rods took turns to demonstrate. Contestants upheld the traditional martial virtues, showcasing their skills and demeanor with each move, fully embodying the profound essence of Chinese traditional martial arts.
