“2025 Golden Globe Awards Winners List: ‘Shogun’ Wins 4 Major Awards”

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards winners were announced on Sunday night, with “Shogun” sweeping the television categories, winning Best Series, Best Actor and Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. In the film category, “Dream of the Drug Queen” claimed the top spot, winning a total of 4 awards.

The awards ceremony took place in Beverly Hills, California, with both film and television categories revealing the winners. In the Music/Comedy Film category, “Dream of the Drug Queen” secured 4 out of 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Sebastián Stan, Best Supporting Actress for Zoë Saldana, Original Film Song, and Best Non-English Film.

In the Drama Film category, A24’s “The Brutalist” secured 3 awards out of 7 nominations, including Best Drama Film, Best Director for Brady Corbet, and Best Actor for Adrien Brody, beating out Hollywood stars like Daniel Craig and Timothée Chalamet.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, and Tilda Swinton did not win in the Film Drama Actress category; the award went to Fernanda Torres for “I’m Still Here”.

Additionally, “The Wicked Witch” stood out among 8 nominated films to win the Film and Box Office Achievement Award at the Golden Globes. “Fantasy Meow” won the Best Animation Award.

In the television category, “Shogun” won in all 4 nominations, including Best Series, Best Actor and Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. Followed by “The Queen and the Strawberries” winning 2 out of 3 nominations, including Best Music/Comedy Series and Best Actress.

The Best Drama Series nominations include “The Brutalist,” “The Complete Unknown,” “Conclave,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Nickel Boys,” and “September 5”.

Winners in the Best Film Director category are Brady Corbet for “The Brutalist”, Sean Baker for “Anora”, Edward Berger for “Conclave”, Coralie Fargeat for “The Substance”, Payal Kapadia for “All We Imagine as Light”, and Jacques Audiard for “Dream of the Drug Queen”.

The Best Drama Actor winners are Adrien Brody for “The Brutalist”, Colman Domingo for “Sing Sing”, Daniel Craig for “Queer”, Ralph Fiennes for “Conclave”, Sebastian Stan for “The Apprentice”, and Timothée Chalamet for “The Complete Unknown”.

The Best Drama Actress winners are Fernanda Torres for “I’m Still Here”, Angelina Jolie for “Maria”, Kate Winslet for “Lee”, Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl”, Pamella Anderson for “The Last Showgirl”, and Tilda Swinton for “The Room Next Door”.

In the Music/Comedy Film category, “Dream of the Drug Queen” won Best Film, and Sebastian Stan won Best Actor for “A Different Man”.

Demi Moore won Best Actress for “The Substance”, and Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for “A Real Pain”.

Zoë Saldana won Best Supporting Actress for “Dream of the Drug Queen”, and the Film Script Award went to “Conclave”.

The Film Original Soundtrack Award went to “Challengers”, and the Film Original Song Award went to “El Mal” from “Dream of the Drug Queen”.

The Film Box Office Achievement Award was won by “The Wicked Witch”, and the Best Animation Film Award was claimed by “Flow”.

In the Best Foreign Language Film category, “Dream of the Drug Queen” from France took the top honor, among films from India, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Brazil.

The Best Drama Series was awarded to FX|HULU’s “Shogun”, and the Best Music/Comedy Series went to HBO | MAX’s “The Queen and the Strawberries”.

Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer” won Best Mini Series and TV Movie, with Shinada Hiroshi winning Best Actor and Sawai Anna taking Best Actress for “Shogun”.

Jeremy Allen White won Best Actor and Jean Smart won Best Actress for their performances in “The Bear” and “Hacks” respectively.

Colin Farrell and Jodie Foster won Best Actor and Actress in a Mini Series and TV Movie, while Tadanobu Asano and Jessica Gunning won Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Series. Ali Wong won the Best TV Stand-Up Comedy Performance for “Ali Wong: Single Lady”.
