Trump responds to “No Monarchy Protests”: I worked my heart out.

On Sunday evening (October 19), US President Trump responded to the “No Kings” protests that erupted in multiple cities. President Trump emphasized that he works tirelessly just to make America great.

Flying back from Florida to Washington D.C. on Air Force One, when asked about the “No Kings” protests, President Trump said, “I work hard just to make the country great, that’s all. I’m not a king at all.”

President Trump told reporters, “I think this protest is a joke. I observe these people, they cannot represent this country at all.”

He added, “These demonstrations are small in scale, have little impact, and the participants are exhausted. If you look at these people, they cannot represent the people of our country.”

The day before, protests erupted in cities like New York, Washington D.C., and London. This was the second “No Kings” protest against the Trump administration since June.

There were concerns that the marches could escalate into violent conflicts. However, despite the ongoing government shutdown, no sudden events or arrests were reported during the protests.

Some Republicans believe that these protests aim to divert public attention from the ongoing deadlock between the two parties on budget issues.

House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed to Fox Business that he hopes Democratic leaders participating in the protests will adopt a more open attitude towards the Republican proposals, even though his tone did not sound optimistic.

According to police estimates, last Saturday (October 18), over a hundred thousand people participated in the “No Kings” protests in all five boroughs of New York, with no protest-related arrests reported.

Meanwhile, protesters briefly took to the streets in Washington D.C. without any reported arrest cases.

The police stated that in other major cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Portland in Oregon, and Austin, the “No Kings” protests were overall peaceful.
