Under the dual pressures of the Chinese Communist Party’s high-pressure rule and economic downturn, discontent is boiling among the people on the mainland. Recently, there have been numerous violent incidents, with targets of retaliation shifting from societal groups to the government and officials. Many interviewees expressed complete disappointment with society and eagerly hoped for the speedy collapse of the CCP.
In recent times, extreme events have unfolded in various regions across China.
On November 30, in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, the owner of a fireworks and firecracker shop, believed to have been long oppressed by local authorities, resorted to setting off an explosion in his store before taking his own life due to feeling cornered. The blast was powerful, causing multiple cars to be thrown and injuring three people.
Around 5 p.m. on November 24, a man attempted to ram his car into the government building in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, but was intercepted by an armed patrol vehicle. Following the incident, local authorities temporarily shut down the internet.
On July 5, a vicious incident erupted in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, triggered by forced demolitions. The village secretary of Guocuo Village in Jinshi Town, Chao’an District, was fatally stabbed, and his son was seriously injured. The suspect attempted suicide by drinking pesticide.
A Chinese mainland resident, using the pseudonym Gao Fan, told the Epoch Times that corruption is rampant everywhere in China, and the anger among the people is growing deeper. “We hope for its (CCP’s) immediate downfall. Everyone I know shares this sentiment, everyone hates the CCP to death, no one wants to live in this kind of environment.”
Wu Shaoping, the head of the Overseas Chinese Human Rights Lawyers Alliance, stated that the CCP’s suppression of society is becoming increasingly severe, leading to rising public resentment.
He pointed out that the Chinese people have completely lost all freedoms, and with the increasing number of unemployed individuals, coupled with no relief in sight for expenses such as healthcare, pensions, child-rearing, and education, a significant buildup of social discontent has occurred. When this pressure finds no outlet, it often manifests in extreme ways.
Wu added that as more and more people identify the root causes of the problems, the targets of societal retaliation are swiftly shifting towards the government and the power structure itself. Increasing numbers of ordinary citizens have come to realize that all the pains, difficulties, and calamities they face originate from the CCP. “They have redirected their retaliatory aims towards the CCP system, all hoping for the quick downfall of the CCP.”
Moreover, there have been a series of major fires and accidents in various parts of the mainland recently.

Around 5 p.m. on November 26, a large explosion occurred near Lutian Temple Elementary School in Zhaoqiao Township, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui. Official media only reported the incident the next day at noon, attributing it to operational errors during the centralized destruction of fireworks and firecrackers.
Additionally, there have been multiple train collision accidents.
In the early hours of November 27, train 21016 on the Baocheng Railway collided with two maintenance workers working on the railway line in Deyang, Sichuan, resulting in the instant death of both workers.

Another mainland resident, using the pseudonym Zhao Xin, also expressed, “The lives of ordinary people are becoming increasingly difficult, and we hope to see some force that can hold them accountable. What the CCP fears most is that a spark can ignite a prairie fire. We hope for a tipping point to come soon and bring about its downfall.”
