Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau announced on the evening of September 22nd that due to the influence of Typhoon Hua Jasha and its peripheral circulation, there is a high possibility of short-term heavy rainfall.
According to the tropical cyclone warnings issued by the Taiwan Central Weather Bureau, the land warning areas include Taitung, Hengchun Peninsula, Pingtung, and Kaohsiung regions, while the maritime warning areas cover the southeastern waters of Taiwan, the Bashi Channel, the Taiwan Strait, and the waters around Dongsha Islands. The Executive Yuan’s Public Service Personnel Administration Office released information on class and work suspension for Kaohsiung and Pingtung on the 23rd as follows:
The Kaohsiung City Government declared that Namasia, Taoyuan, Jiaxian, Liugui, and Maolin administrative districts will suspend classes and work on the 23rd, while other districts will operate as usual.
The Pingtung County Government announced that Fangshan Township, Checheng Township, Hengchun Township, Manzhou Township, Wutai Township, Sandimen Township, Majia Township, Laiyi Township, Taiwu Township, Chunri Township, Shizi Township, and Mudan Township will suspend classes and work on the 23rd; other areas will continue with normal operations.
