Taiwan Power Company’s Northwest Division fulfills its corporate social responsibility every year by providing care and assistance to the local community. In order to show respect and care for disadvantaged mothers who have long been working hard for their families, on the eve of Mother’s Day this year, Director Xie Yilong led his team to visit the Social Welfare Service Center in Sanchong District, New Taipei City. They extended Mother’s Day blessings to 7 underprivileged mothers and presented them with caring consolation money, hoping to allow them to feel the atmosphere of Mother’s Day and the warmth of society in advance.
The Northwest Division of Taiwan Power Company pointed out that mothers in disadvantaged families may experience difficulties such as divorce, serious illness, or financial hardship, but they still bravely face these challenges and make huge contributions to their families.
This time, the Northwest Division cooperated with the Social Welfare Service Center in Sanchong District, New Taipei City to provide assistance to mothers who are unable to apply for subsidies due to ineligibility, or are facing emergencies and financial difficulties. In addition to giving each person NT$10,000 in consolation money, they also dispatched personnel to visit each household to understand the living difficulties they are facing, providing practical support through action.
One of the recipients, Miss Zeng, suffers from asthma and has undergone joint surgery, making her unable to work. As the sole pillar of her single-parent family, she has to take care of three children. Her daily expenses and medical costs have pushed her into financial crisis. In addition to expressing care through the consolation money, Taiwan Power Company’s Northwest Division also gave each mother a cake and a carnation on the spot, celebrating Mother’s Day for these underprivileged mothers and spreading a warm and happy festive atmosphere.
