Taiwanese celebrity couple, Huang Guolun and Kou Naixin, have recently ventured into the world of online live streaming platforms, aiming to challenge the Taiwanese market with live streaming revenues exceeding one hundred million, and hoping to promote Taiwanese brands internationally. In their pursuit of this goal, Kou Naixin has sacrificed her health for live streaming, suffering from swollen vocal cords and hoarseness for two years, and even experienced episodes of vomiting and diarrhea that required emergency room visits.
During a media interview today, Huang Guolun and Kou Naixin praised each other as perfect partners in marriage, confident that they can form a formidable team in the live streaming industry and continue to cultivate their presence on these platforms. Kou Naixin humorously mentioned their respective strengths, with herself excelling in emotional resonance while Huang Guolun is known for his humor and singing talents.
Kou Naixin also revealed the physical toll that live streaming has taken on her, with her swollen vocal cords causing hormonal imbalances and severe acne breakouts on her face. Despite moments of exhaustion and the occasional thought of giving up due to fatigue, Kou Naixin remains committed to pursuing a career in live streaming.
In addition to their foray into live streaming, the couple had previously collaborated with a platform for short drama productions to conduct auditions for amateur actors, but encountered accusations of financial exploitation from some participants.
Explaining the situation, Kou Naixin clarified that there was a misunderstanding with the participants, as the hired teacher, a Golden Bell Award-nominated actor, required full attendance from students. Those who failed to meet this requirement were not allowed to continue, leading to discontent and revelations from the disgruntled participants.
Huang Guolun and Kou Naixin admitted that their intention was solely to nurture amateur actors, with the tuition fees collected barely covering the teacher’s remuneration, let alone assistant fees and classroom rental costs. They emphasized that such endeavors proved financially burdensome and vowed to focus more on their live streaming activities to avoid similar situations in the future.
